Adelaide is now home to the countries first and only 100% barber dedicated training facility, with the opening of Barbery, The Craft of A Barber.
Offering nationally accredited full service barber training, Barbery is the first of its kind in Australia and is positioned to become the pinnacle of quality barbering education across the industry. Offering the nationally recognised Certificate III in Barbering, Barbery will host two annual intakes of 30 students, one in February and the other in July. Along with 60 students per year, Barbery will also host weekly apprentice training sessions and accelerated training sessions.
Owner and Director, Don de Sanctis, is passionate about education and believes that consistent quality training is key to the continued improvement and development of the industry.
“There is an expertise benchmark that I feel needs to be set across the industry,” Said Mr de Sanctis
“Barbering as a profession is growing in popularity at an outstanding rate, and with the opening of Barbery we are trying to ensure that are courses and training facilities able to keep up with the demand and ensure a standardized level of expertise across the industry.”
Further to this, Barbery operates on an open door policy for the hair industry at large, offering access to classes and sessions to anyone interested in further honing their trade or simply after a refresher course in the latest trends. The Barbery education calendar is set to feature guest artist sessions with some of the leading minds and industry experts in the barbering craft from Australia and across the globe.
